During the COVID-19 epidemic, Medicare announced it is waiving the rules and regulations related to telemedicine. The waiver allows physician practices to offer patients the chance to engage with their physicians using a telecom platform instead of face-to-face. One type of visit is a telehealth visit.

A telehealth visit allows patients to stay home and use an interactive audio and video telecommunications platform to engage with their physicians. Aside from the location, there will be no difference between a telehealth visit and your regular follow-up visits.

Co-Pays, coinsurance, and deductibles generally apply to these services. You must pay your co-pay, coinsurance, and if you have not met your deductible, the amount NTKC received from your plan provider.

If you want to set up an appointment to see your kidney doctor using a telecommunications platform, please call us.
